Water Soluble Thread

making lace bookmarks -using water soluble stablizer, size 14 emb. needle but the needle or thread keeps break

with doing all the above is one soluble better than the rest. The bookmarks are 16,000 and 20,000 stitches. I did double up on the stablizer

Do you have the problem of breaking needles and thread with other embroidery designs or only FSL ones? I like a double layer of Vilene, H2Gone, or Ultra Solvy for the wss. I use size 75/11 sharp needle, rather than an embroidery needle. And, I change the needle very often so it’s always sharp. Make sure you’re using 40 weight embroidery thread for the needle, and either 40 or 60 weight thread for the bobbin. And, make certain the pressure foot is UP when you thread the machine. If it’s down, the tension discs inside don’t always catch the thread properly.
