Fabric Quilt Strip

Can you answer this question quilting please?

I want to make a 5 "square made of strips of fabric. Can you say what the size of the bands I need and how much. I am using 1 / 4 inch seam.

You can do all strips of size you want, as long as you do add up to 5 inches when finished. If it is important that all your tapes to a uniform size, then cut them all uniformly, adding about half an inch to each band. For example: 2 strips, cut 3 inches wide, 5 bands, cut 1 and 1 / 2 inches wide, or 10 bands, cut 1 inch wide. In the end, you'll have a quarter inch extra all around that you can use to sew it to something else, or crop. I do not like things too predictable, so I would just sew a bunch of bands of different sizes and, without measure, until I get a rectangle that is larger than 5×5, and cut the final product to 5 inches thereafter. .
