Here is what she said in one of her books about getting ready for her television show – “My face imperfections are my challenge. You’ve no doubt noticed that my face is not standard fare for television. At the age of 18 months, an ear infection caused the nerve in the right side of my face swell creating a paralysis, termed Bell’s Palsy. According to medical statistics, 94% of all people who get this malady recover, but I’m one of the unlucky 6%.”
