Sewing Tips Tricks
Tips for handmade hot/cold packs?
I want to sew different styles of hot/cold packs – the kind you can either keep in the freezer or microwave to put on aches/pains/etc, but I have a few questions:
(1) What is the best material to use? Rice (white/yellow/brown)? Beans (what kind)? Corn? Something else?
(2) How do I ensure they don’t get boweavels (sp?)? Do I bake them for a while to kill them all?

Well , I have design for a “cold” pack in the summer.
The kind you soak in water and place on your neck to cool you by the slowly evaporating water.
They are sold in stores but I know the “secret” ingredient.
Diaper stuffing !
You sew some clean dry diaper stuffing into a cloth strip . That’s it.
They work great when it’s super hot out , and a wet rag dries to quickly.
