Sewing Patterns Vogue Mccalls Simplicity
Sewing pattern brands?
I’m making a floor length evening/ball gown.
I’d like it to be boned or a corset.
Any brands other then simplicity, vogue, butterick or mccalls?

Marfy, Burda, KwikSew, New Look, Ottobre Woman are all pretty accessible. Bustiers/corsets are best done from a custom bodice, imo — a zero-ease princess — it eliminates the issues of cup size, muffin tops and June is Busting Out All Over. Best book on the process I know of is Crawford’s Patternmaking Made Easy, which has both the patternmaking instructions and the construction information.
Personally, of those, I’d sooner sew with the Burda or Marfy patterns — but Marfy does not include any instructions with their patterns, so you’ve got to know how to sew.
If you’re not doing a bustier and skirt, make sure you put an inner waistband in the bustier to help support the weight of the skirt.
