Im sewing light weight material.
using old/large shirts to turn into a dress
How can I ensure the stitching wont break or come off
while wearing or washing it?
Is there a better brand of thread,stitching pattern or tension to set the machine to?

2 good quality threads are coats (aka coats & clarke) and gutterman. make sure you backstitch when starting & stopping a seam to lock the stitches so it won’t come apart.
