Sewing Fabric Belt
Materials for making a good quality cosplay?
Again with the cosplay questions xD. But I was wondering what kind of fabric to use for the shiny part of the costume:

Also I’am really confused on how to put the symbol on the front of the costume, should i hand sew it or use my sewing machine?
Iam still a beginner at sewing so please forgive the crazy questions.
I agree about the ribbon. you should be able to find that no problem. the belt maybe do 2 pieces of pleather ( the good stuff ) glued or sewn together (wrongs sides together). I would use a double sided iron on adhesive for the symbol on the front. be sure to use a fabric that will not run or pill ( come apart ) u can also put a fabric glue on the edges to help to keep the fabric from coming apart. Fray check is a good one for that. The double sided adhesive is a kind of pellon. When you go to get your fabric cut ask the person who helps you to show you where it is. It comes with instructions and it very easy to use. After you apply it to your garment then you could sew over it with your sewing machine or hand sew it to give it a finished look.
