how do u make a slipcover for a loveseat?

i want to know the method for making a slipcover with the fabric draped over it and pinning. i dont understand how sewing the pin line will make it sort of tailored in the right spots where the fabric will curve around. could someone explain? to me the way i picture it is that it would just be flat with some sewing lines in it. i would like a detailed description or a link that shows PICTURES of the method and instructions. thank you for those with serious answers. im crafty and would like to try this myself instead of buying one.

Audrey, your method is correct, but you leave the pins in and sew over them. All you are doing is sewing the exact shape of the loveseat. Just remember to put the material onto the love seat with the wrong side facing OUT. Whe you’re done pinning, remove the whole thing and sew. Libraries have wonderful books with great pictures. My library even has a home improvement DVD collection.
