Sewing Canvas Fabric
Need a model for a military canteen cover – WW2 era.?
I found my father's WW2 (1945) 1 quart canteen he used in fighting in the Marines in the tropics around Japan and Guam (Micronesia, etc..) It is complete with freestanding. I'm looking a pattern to make a sheet to her, so I can hang it on my belt. I have the fabric, I need a model I can download, cut and sew the cover together. Unemployed now and have to save a few dollars by doing a lot of things for me. The canteen would not worth much because there are bumps and dings from use and probably had a ball bounce or two of it when he was in action fighting Japanese soldiers on remote Pacific islands. I'm not sure about a model, but you can buy "Cover, Canteen, M1910 model" eBay, and almost every good Army Surplus store, for about $ 5 (I have seen lots of 20 classes for $ 25). You could tear and create a reason for it. I also noticed that the vietnamgear "published as There is a link to several photos of the cover … You might blow up the pictures, print and use as a base to form a pattern? I had a number of them in the Boy Scouts, and then the side while the 1956 model in the Navy. I hope someone can find a model
