Plastic Button Green
Toshiba Satellite 2060cds laptop help.?
My friend gave me a Toshiba Satellite 2060cds to find an adapter for and get it running. I recently tried to charge it with a battery charger I had lying around that’s supposed to charge all sots of batteries. I used test leads to try and get it running, I ran for like 2 seconds then shut off. I then found an article online on how to charge Lithium Ion batteries using the same kind of charger. I charged the battery for 2 and a half hours just to get enough power into the battery to tunr it on and get it running on battery power. But when I went to put the battery back in, a green light came on and the power button didin’t work.
Underneath that green light is a symbol that looks like a plug that you’d plug into the wall. I removed the plastic lock peice that would normally lock the power button. SO why did it act the way it did, with turning on for 2 seconds then shutting off and the green light staying on and power button not working when I put the battery in?
Old laptop means that charging plug on laptop has gone bad, requiring a new system board or a new laptop.
