Rotational motion I need help!!!!!!?
I need some help in physics.
A 23.5m tall Ferris Wheel, m=8,400kg(including passengers), takes passengers around 12 times in 3.8 minutes. To simplify, assume the ferris wheel is a large hoop Find the following
a) linear speed of the passengers
b)angular speed of wheel in radians per second
c)rotational inertia of the wheel
d)torque required to achieve it’s average speed in 7.2 seconds
e)rotational KE of the wheel
speed = 2Pir/T = 2 * 3.14* 11.75/(3.8 * 60/12)
radiams/s = 2 Pi 12 /(3.8*60) = omega
I = M a^2 = 8400 * 11.75^2
torque = I * alpha = I * (radians/s divided by 7.2)
K = 1/2 I omega^2
