How To Finish Sewing By Hand

how to finish sewing by hand
How can you do a blind hem by hand?

I am just finishing an edge of quilt and want to use an invisible point, not sewing machine. Lets know how, but forgot.

I'm not sure how well the description I can give without being able show you somehow, but here goes …. Start with a single needle threaded – meaning a knot in one end of the wire, not two ends knotted together. I prefer silamide for something like this because it is very beautiful and very strong, so you get a good clean will not break not easy. I guess you're binding your board off, so you start by taking a point inside the link to the outside to hide your knot inside your binding. This first point has to be very close to the folded edge of the binding when you try to fold the quilt – out through the crease of the bond would be ideal. Take a small spot (maybe a quarter inch) through the upper layers of the quilt very close to where your thread comes out of the link. This should come from the top of the quilt about a quarter of an inch to the binding site where you started. It remains to be incredibly close to the folded edge of binding. Finish this by bringing your needle and thread through the folded edge Liaison, taking care to stay very close to the folded edge (right across the fold is always the best) and at the same time ensure that you take at least 2-3 son of the link in each point. This puts you in place to take a point of quarter-inch across the top layers of your quilt and return again through the fold of the binding, etc., etc., for a while. Please do not sew all the way to the other side of your quilt. Any What book have basic sewing diagrams such good points. Good luck! Hope this makes sense!
