Green Fabric Squares
How to make my own blanket?
I have 10 yards of thin green fabric and I want to make a 2 layer blanket from it as a gift. It will all be made by hand so I don’t want to cut it into tiny squares and sew it back together. any help would be great!
Decide how wide and long you want the blanket to be, then cut the fabric 1″ wider and longer.
Place the fabric, right sides together and stitch around the perimeter, leaving about 6″ open.
Turn right side out, stitch up the opening, press and top stitch 1/4″ around the blanket to help keep the seams from curling.
You should also stitch down and across the center to keep the layers from blousing.
