Fat Quarters Quilt
I need a great unique gift for a quilter…not fat quarters or anything like that…something really special.?
She just made her first two..is there something like a memory book I can for her to remember all the quilts?
Hi:
That sounds like a great idea for starting a memory book to document the quilts. It would be nice to have some space for journalling like why the particular quilt was made, any special fabrics or techniques used, etc, and a photo of the final project, maybe some additional in progress photos, and scraps of the fabric used.
For other special quilting gifts, you might check out Alex Anderson or Nancy Zieman, Fons and Porter for some interesting ideas. I don’t really quilt, but my grandmother did, and she built up a large stash of fabrics – so maybe if your friend has just started, you might try to see if there is a good way to maybe get her organized from the start.
